Goshawk Walk

Grab the opportunity to go wildlife watching with expert guides in England's last great wilderness as part of the 'Wild about Kielder' season. Throughout Spring, a number of events will give a unique chance to view Northumberland's wildlife in its natural habitat. Kielder Water & Forest Park is one of the strongholds of this often persecuted bird of prey. Join local expert Martin Davison on a spring walk to see the 'sky-dance' display flight of this magnificent large hawk. Note this walk is over rough ground and may cover 4 to 5 miles. Bring warm clothing, sturdy footwear, waterproofs and binoculars if you have them. Please note this event includes minibus transport into the forest and walking routes over rough terrain.
