Kielder Water & Forest Park

Click here for winter opening times

Welcome to the great outdoors. Absorb the peace and tranquillity. Try something adventurous. Above all else, create your own unique experience.

The Park is home to the biggest man-made lake in northern Europe and the biggest working forest in England. It covers 250 square miles, so if you haven't been before, it's best to pop into one of the three main visitor centres (Tower Knowe, Leaplish and Kielder Castle) to orientate yourself.

Download our guide to the Park (right) or browse these pages to find out what there is to do and where to do it. Don't forget, visitor centre staff have great local knowledge and are on hand to help with any questions you might have.

Enjoy your great outdoors!
