It's a gorgeous May Day here - the sun is shining, the lake is blue and the glorious Forest Drive reopens today.

For MBT enthusiasts, Saturday 2nd of May sees the long-awaited opening of the top section DOUBLE BLACK graded Deadwater Downhill Trail. If you want to be part of the opening, please meet at Kielder Bike Hire at 12 noon before heading up to the top for the 1pm opening – a nice informal event to welcome the first riders.

Then on Tuesday May 5th, we are hosting a Mobility Scooter Ramble with Disabled Ramblers. There is still time to join the 6.5 mile ramble around Bull Crag - have a look here.

And on Saturday May 23rd we’ll be at Northumberland County Show where we’d love you to join us to celebrate our Kielder Forest Centenary.

Osprey Watch continues to delight with the fantastic volunteers from Northumberland Wildlife Trust at the Osprey Cabin at Tower Knowe - Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays 11-4.

And all our usual Kielder walks, trails, cycles, art and activities . . .
