August is National Wellness Month.
Not a lot of places are more tranquil or peaceful than Kielder. It’s the perfect place to get away from it all, reflect, relax and breathe the clean air from our 150 million trees.
Take in the view from one of our benches, or if you’re feeling a little more active have a walk or cycle or book one of our water activities. During the day look up at our vast skies where you might be lucky enough to see an osprey and, by night our wonderful dark skies come alive with a million twinkles.
August is also peak holiday time, so everything is open and ready for you.
Tower Knowe Visitor Centre is reopening soon after a refurbishment and the café is open for drinks and snacks.
We have multiple outdoor activities, along with Kielder Bike Hire (they also have fab pizzas!) and of course Kielder Observatory - just make sure to book all in advance.
You do not have to book at Kielder Bird of Prey Centre which is open daily with flying sessions at 1.30 and 3pm, or at Kielder Salmon Centre which is open every day until the end of September from 10am – 4pm and entry is free.
Keep an eye out on our, and Kielder Waterside's, socials for any last minute offers to stay in the lodges and if you're a camper, caravanner or motorhomer, there is some availability at Kielder Campsite and Clear Sky Lodge Park.
Looking ahead, we’re still adding events to our 100 Years Celebration Weekend which is the first weekend in September - keep an eye out on our socials and here for more information.
See you soon!
