Did you see Kielder on TV last week?
It was a nice feature showing one of our trees being cut down and starting its 330 mile journey to Westminster, where it will stand beside the Houses of Parliament.
Richard Cooper, beat forester at Forestry England, said “it has to be perfect. We really want to showcase the best of Kielder at Westminster”.
Selecting the right tree is a careful process, with foresters beginning their search earlier in the year, monitoring a shortlist throughout the summer before choosing the final specimen.
We have supplied a tree from Kielder to the capital for more than 20 years and we’re looking forward to seeing it up and decorated!
