Mice, voles, shrews, hedgehogs, squirrels – furry folk that live around us, many seldom seen. Learn more about their lives and discover ways we can survey for these small wild mammals. Note: This event takes place over 2 sessions. We will cover species identification, ecology and survey methods. The evening will involve a classroom session as well as setting survey equipment. The following morning we will return to see what our traps have recorded overnight, release what we have caught and learn how to report our findings. Please bring suitable outdoor clothing and footwear. Booking is essential. This event is suitable for ages 10+. All persons under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. No dogs please.
