Falstone Barns

Overview

Falstone Barns has four beautifully converted stone barns, each individually designed to create a luxurious welcome after your day's activities.  The tranquil setting benefits from two local pubs and a tearoom on your doorstep.  

Falstone Barns offers guests luxury in the countryside with beautifully converted former stables with all your home comforts and more.  These interior designed barn suites offer you the glamour of a roll-top bubble bath after your walk in the Northumbrian fresh air whilst sipping a glass of something chilled from your very own wine fridge.

Nestled in the North Tyne valley there's an abundance of nature all around you and you're likely to spot a red squirrel or a kingfisher on the Falstone Farm Estate.

Each barn has a unique style and many guests return to experience that luxurious boutique-hotel feel of each. 

The Classic is a sumptuously decorated 2-bedroom apartment which can provide either super-king sized beds or twins depending on your preference.  This suite is on the first floor of the old Granary and commands superb views of the valley beyond.  It features a sunken bath with granite surround with a separate shower in the master suite and a Hans Groehe walk-in shower in the second bedroom with a slate/mosaic tile surround.  The kitchen features granite worktops, wine fridge and all your cooking needs whilst the lounge features a cosy, crimson velvet sofa and a real wood-burning fire.

The French has large arched windows providing a light and airy lounge, ideal for reading in a sunny spot or watching your children play in the courtyard.  The kitchen has a wine fridge and all your cooking requirements whilst the lounge has beautiful furnishings and a wood-burning stove.  The master bathroom boasts a roll-top bath and separate shower and the second bedroom has its own en-suite shower room.

The Opulent barn suite is cosmopolitan in the country with a wet room en-suite to a master bedroom with an Empress size bed overlooking the courtyard.  An additional large bathroom bedecked with black tiles and a roll-top bath allows for decadent bathing.  The second bedroom is a small double.  This barn may be interlinked with the neighbouring Romantic Medieval to accommodate sleeping arrangements for 6.

The Romantic is an idyllic romantic hideaway featuring a tree in the living/kitchen space.  This cosy and warm suite has a romantic lodge appeal with lots of oak and stone flooring, the mezzanine floor holds the bedroom and en-suite.  The wine will be chilling in your wine fridge as you sit beneath the tree for dinner.  This suite may be connected with Versace Glamour to create a three-bedroomed accommodation for larger parties.

If you can take yourself away from the comfort of your barn you can find fishing, shooting, cycling and riding and many other country pursuits on hand close by or why not try archery or segway at nearby Kielder Water. 

If a mindful retreat is wanted try tree bathing in one of the largest forests in Europe followed by a relaxing aromatherapy massage.  The day shall be complete with a relaxed dinner in the comfort of your own barn or try one of our traditional village pubs. Come and stay at Falstone Barns and you'll never want to go home! Falstone Farm rests on the site of a former original castle and is situated on the ancient Drovers road from Scotland into England.  The farm has ancient history with a farmhouse encompassing a unique Bastle dating back to 1604.
