NOTE KIELDER CASTLE AND CAFE ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED FOR RENOVATION
Kielder Castle was built in 1775 as a hunting lodge for the Duke of Northumberland.
Situated very close to the Scottish Border ,Kielder is the remotest village in England and is a haven for the outdoor lovers. Miles of forest surround a picturesque man made lake, with many mountain bike trails, walks and art projects to visit.
There are picnic area and facilities in the Castle grounds.
