Woods and Water: Landscape photography workshop with David Williams in the inspirational setting of Kielder Water & Forest Park.
Saturday 10 May, Kielder Castle, 10.30am until 4pm.
Exploring the creative possibilities of landscape photography, this workshop will encompass techniques and experimental exercises designed to create fascinating and thought-provoking images.
About the photographer: David Williams is a freelance photographer with a special interest in the environment, art and architecture. After twenty years lecturing in photography, he now works on a wide range of commissions for a diverse set of clients in the UK and throughout Europe. You can view a range of David’s photographs via www.williamsphoto.co.uk.
About the workshop: Following a brief introduction, David will lead participants on a short photography walk in the inspiring landscape around Kielder Castle. The session will include a practical demonstration with cameras and individual tuition. Particular emphasis will be paid to ‘seeing’ the landscape image and achieving premium results through sound technique.
Please bring to the workshop: A camera and (if you have one) a tripod. Dress for the outdoors and a large umbrella is always useful! Café facilities are available at Kielder Castle or you can bring a packed lunch.
