Wild at Kielder Festival

Overview

Are you crazy about creatures? Batty about birds? Fascinated by flora, or just wild about wildlife? Then head for the great outdoors and the wonderful Wild at Kielder Festival 2018 on May Bank Holiday Weekend – Sunday 6th and Monday 7th May and enjoy a weekend full of wildlife-themed activities. Beautiful Kielder Water & Forest Park is laying on a fabulous, wild weekend full of outdoor, nature activities and fun for all ages – all over the park. You’ll rarely have a chance to see and learn so much about wildlife in one weekend ever! Many activities are free of charge, or low cost. Some are just “turn up” and others are bookable in advance to avoid disappointment. You can watch the rare and famous Kielder ospreys in their native habitat. Or hunt for the Gruffalo in the woods? Enjoy a guided forest safari; build a den in the woods; forage for tasty forest food and eat it too; take an alpaca for a walk; and cruise across Kielder water in a motorboat. But that’s not nearly all! How about gazing up close at the stars from Kielder Observatory; learning about the Kielder red squirrels; joining a ratty ramble; and learning about the rare and ancient native trees that are now being replanted? It’s sure to be a British wildlife experience like no other.
