Start the walk from opposite the visitor centre and follow the shore line path for this half mile circular walk. On the small peninsula you will come across the remains of a prehistoric settlement including traces of a Romano British farmstead which lies by the shoreline near to the tip of the
peninsula. Car parking is available at Tower Knowe Visitor Centre. This walk is on a narrow, rough path and is not designed for wheelchairs or buggies.
From Newcastle/Carlisle, A69 to B6320 Bellingham, then C200. From Jedburgh, A68 to B6320, then C200.
Please fill up your tank before you arrive as there are no petrol stations in the immediate area.
880 runs two services Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from Hexham to Kielder Castle.
A public bus service runs from Newcastle on Sundays and Bank Holidays in the summer months.
