Walk - Hindhope Linn

Walk - Hindhope Linn

Type: Walking Route

One of the area’s best kept secrets - an enchanting walk through a scenic gorge peppered with venerable trees to a hidden gem of a waterfall. This trail is mainly on un-surfaced forest tracks that have a number of short, sharp inclines traversed by small sections of steps (with and without handrails). Parking is at Blakehopeburnhaugh picnic site, 12 miles from Kielder Castle at the north end of the Forest Drive toll road (this site can also be reached from the A68 near Byrness). Follow the path from here onwards above a gorge. After crossing Hindhope Burn, the trail passes the top of the waterfall.
