Deadwater Trail 14.7km A cross country trail packed with trail features, including awesome fast sections of singletrack, Skellys Riggin section of trail takes in the breathtaking Deadwater Summit, at which on a clear day you can see 360 degrees views across a large area of South Scotland, Lake District & Northumberland, you can even see the well known MTB centre Glentress
Forest from here! Up and Over 2.3km Up and Over, accessed from Deadwater Trail at the start of All Along the Watch Tower. A technical trail that includes epic climbing and thrilling descending, packed with a downhill trail in Forrest’s Dive section of trail. Ending with a gap jump in the Rattlesnake section for those who want to push themselves that little bit further. Forrest’s Dive and Rattlesnake can be missed out by cross country riders by rejoining the Deadwater red trail at
Superbowl and return to Kielder Castle

Road Directions

From Newcastle or Carlisle, follow the A69 to Hexham then follow the B6320 to Bellingham (brown-signed Kielder Water & Forest) and take the C200 to Kielder Water & Forest Park.

From Jedburgh/Edinburgh take the A68 south to Otterburn, then the B6320 to Bellingham and follow the brown signs to Kielder Water & Forest Park along the C200.

Kielder Castle is situated within Kielder Village and sign-posted from the C200.

Please remember to fill up your tank before you begin your journey as there are no petrol stations in the immediate Kielder Water & Forest Park area.
