Overview
IT’S BACK...Britain’s Most Beautiful Marathon returns on October 6th 2013.
Now in its fourth year, we’re pleased to open entries for 2013 and its first come first served, so don’t miss out!
We challenge anyone to find a more stunning location to cover the epic distance of 26.2 miles. Start and Finish location is Leaplish Waterside Park. The route takes you off around the lakeside way, a good trail surface, hugging the shoreline while you absorb the stunning scenery and modern art around Kielder Water.
TRANQUIL, PEACEFUL, PICTURESQUE, INVIGORATING, INSPIRING, CHALLENGING, MEMORABLE, REWARDING..but just remember...it’s no bus ride!!!
The Salomon Kielder Marathon will be the finale to a weekend of events, starting with the Kielder 10K and Kielder Run Bike Run on Saturday October 5th followed by the Kielder Junior races and the Marathon on Sunday October 6th. It all adds up to a great atmosphere and a fabulous weekend for this stunning region of the UK.
All participants will receive a tech t shirt, superb medal and goody bag.
Prizes available for top 3 male and female as well as age group prizes. Details to follow.
A park and ride system operates over event weekend for all runners and spectators *. A secure baggage area is available for free at Leaplish Waterside park. Post race massage is offered in the finisher’s tent and plenty of fun activities for those not taking part and just enjoying the scenery.
