The friendliest club in Northumberland! This highly regarded 18 hole golf course, par 70, is situated in the picturesque North Tyne valley between Hadrian’s Wall and the Scottish Borders. The golf course overlooks the village with stunning views extending up the valley towards Kielder Water and Border Forest Park.
The variety of golf holes offered is enhanced with each change of direction and by a balance of design not out of place in more celebrated surroundings. The designer has used the abundance of natural features to their fullest. There is a pleasing mixture of testing par threes, long par fives and a memorable collection of tricky par fours. A player’s overriding memory will be the natural beauty of aspect and the unstinting challenge, ensuring continued enthusiasm to the very last putt. Visitors are assured of a warm and friendly welcome in the clubhouse with all day bar and catering facilities throughout the golfing season. Golfers can enjoy a wide selection of after match refreshments in the comfort of our newly refurbished lounge whilst overlooking the 18th hole. The club operates a daily starting sheet and golfers are advised to phone and book their tee off time in advance. Green fees, from 1st April to 31st October are £25 midweek and £30 at weekends. Ladies, gents and juniors memberships are also available. Ten twin seat electric buggies are available for hire at £15 per round (18 holes) or £24 per day. Trolleys are £2 per day.
