“Started the day with a coffee and cake slice at Tower Knowe, soaking up the amazing view of Kielder Water. Then caught the ferry for an informative ride across to what is now my favourite Kielder art work - Belvedere - before continuing to Leaplish Waterside Park. The highlight here was the Kielder Water Birds of Prey centre and feeding the young pelican - how lovely! Enjoyed a nice lunch at the Boat Inn Restaurant, before walking back to Tower Knowe along the Lakeside Way path. The new art work, Freya's Cabin, which we passed on the way was a real hit with the kids in the group and there was a general consensus to come back to see the other new art works on the north shore....however, this time by bike!”
