Join Kim Bibby-Wilson as she hoists the hippin on the origins of local words, with extracts from dialect poetry and the chance to play the Northumbrian version of "Call My Bluff" (workshop noon-1.30pm).
Also experience a whistle-stop introduction to the songs, music, dance and traditions of Northumberland, with melodies on the Northumbrian smallpipes, songs to join in with and a chance to try clog dancing (please bring flat hard-soled shoes). Workshop 2.30-4pm.

From Newcastle or Carlisle, follow the A69 to Hexham then follow the B6320 to Bellingham (brown-signed Kielder Water & Forest) and take the C200 to Kielder Water & Forest Park.
From Jedburgh/Edinburgh take the A68 south to Otterburn, then the B6320 to Bellingham and follow the brown signs to Kielder Water & Forest Park along the C200.
Please remember to fill up your tank before you begin your journey as there are no petrol stations in the immediate Kielder Water & Forest Park area.
