Kielder Water & Forest Park

A Northern Experience ‘Kielder Safari’ takes in the best of Kielder Water & Forest Park, by land-rover and on foot. We start with a drive along remote forest roads before arriving at the edge of Kielder Water. Checking the best wildlife locations beside the lake, we'll search for roe deer, red squirrels, birds of prey and other wildlife, before travelling along the stunning Forest Drive. Transport, picnic lunch and expert guidance are all included. Booking essential.

Road Directions

From Newcastle or Carlisle, follow the A69 to Hexham then follow the B6320 to Bellingham (brown-signed Kielder Water & Forest) and take the C200 to Kielder Water & Forest Park.

From Jedburgh/Edinburgh take the A68 south to Otterburn, then the B6320 to Bellingham and follow the brown signs to Kielder Water & Forest Park along the C200.

Kielder Castle is situated within Kielder Village and sign-posted from the C200.

Please remember to fill up your tank before you begin your journey as there are no petrol stations in the immediate Kielder Water & Forest Park area.
