Test yourself on this 26 mile challenge walk, organised by Shepherds Walks, around the Lakeside Way. The Lakeside Way has become one of the finest long distance paths in the country as it circles the whole of Kielder Water, Northern Europe's largest man-made lake, within Kielder Water & Forest Park.
This event is taking place on Saturday 4 September 2010 and places are limited to a number of walkers and runners. We would like to invite you to participate in what will be an historic and unique event and everyone who completes the challenge will receive a limited edition T-shirt.

Signposted off C200, Hawkhope car park, Kielder Dam. From Newcastle or Carlisle, follow the A69 to Hexham then follow the B6320 to Bellingham (brown-signed Kielder Water & Forest) and take the C200 to Kielder Water & Forest Park.
From Jedburgh/Edinburgh take the A68 south to Otterburn, then the B6320 to Bellingham and follow the brown signs to Kielder Water & Forest Park along the C200.
Hawkhope car park is situated at the far end of Kielder Dam as you enter the Park.
Please remember to fill up your tank before you begin your journey as there are no petrol stations in the immediate Kielder Water & Forest Park area.
