Mountain biking enthusiasts are set to enjoy some of the best single-track trails in the UK thanks to an exciting new Enduro event in Kielder Water & Forest Park.
Kielder Calling, on Saturday 14 August, is billed as 'Enduro on the wild side' and will also unveil the Park's new course giving riders the chance to savour a great outdoor playground in Northumberland.
This is a new event at an exciting new venue with 3, 6 and 12 hour Enduro rides available for competitors to test themselves. With a variety of categories it is hoped that Kielder Calling will give everyone the opportunity to ride an Enduro event to remember. Whether you’re a hardened 12 hour solo rider, or new to the game and fancy tackling the 3 hour course, this offers you the chance to experience Enduro on the wild side. The event will be fully marked and marshalled so there’s no chance of getting lost. Kielder is set in a truly rugged wilderness and provides a perfect location for a mountain bike endurance event. You’re not going to get bored on some grassy field - this is stunning single track in all its glory.
You can enter in a solo event and go it alone, or join up with riding mates, either in pairs or teams.
In each event the following categories’ are available
3 HOUR Solo, Pairs, Female, Male and Mixed
Youth U16, Youth U 18, Male, Female
6 HOUR Solo, Pairs, Team (4), Female, Male and Mixed
12 HOUR Solo, Pairs, Team (4), Female, Male and Mixed
Event start times
• 12 hour 7am (finish 7pm)
• 6 hour 9am (finish 3pm)
• 3 hour 10am (finish 1pm)

Road Directions

From Newcastle or Carlisle, follow the A69 to Hexham then follow the B6320 to Bellingham (brown-signed Kielder Water & Forest) and take the C200 to Kielder Water & Forest Park.

From Jedburgh/Edinburgh take the A68 south to Otterburn, then the B6320 to Bellingham and follow the brown signs to Kielder Water & Forest Park along the C200.

Kielder Castle is situated within Kielder Village and sign-posted from the C200.

Please remember to fill up your tank before you begin your journey as there are no petrol stations in the immediate Kielder Water & Forest Park area.
