Lake View Cottage, a charming 1800's 3 bedroom sandstone cottage with stunning views over Kielder Water sits within the beautiful Northumberland National Park and the highly acclaimed International Dark Sky Park.

It is set back from the road in a small terrace with easy parking. The large picture windows in both the kitchen and living room and huge window in the double bedroom as well as tiered decking to the rear ensure that you have fabulous views over Kielder Reservoir both inside and out. The shabby chic style of this pretty cottage has wooden shuttered windows, original beams and a large welcoming log burner, ideal for relaxing and unwinding after a day of exploring the many visitors attractions.

The cottage sleeps 5 comprising of one double room, a twin room and a single room with a shower room upstairs. The cottage also benefits from superfast broadband and a bike store. This property is ideally placed for Kielder Observatory which is literally a 10 minute drive away. (Booking required)

The Liddel Haven, a beautiful 1800's stone built 5* luxury Shepherd's Holiday Cottage situated within the pretty hamlet of Saughtree is also a 10 minute drive to Kielder Observatory from the opposite direction and is set within truly beautiful scenery at the foot of the Cheviot Hills marking the start of the Southern Uplands. Though situated in the Scottish Borders, this property is only a stone throw away from Kielder Water and Forest allowing guests to enjoy the unique Kielder experience. This cottage is set within a peaceful land of green hills and sits next to the River Liddel and presents an ideal base to explore the charming Border towns such as Hawick, Jedburgh and Kelso. This cottage is also perfect for the wildlife and nature lover with many types of animals to observe including a pair of Golden Eagles.

Only 8 miles away lies the village of Newcastleton which offers 2 well stocked mini supermarkets, 2 tea rooms/restaurants and 3 pubs. The Border region offers a wealth of historic castles, the nearest and most iconic is Hermitage Castle, described as being the most sinister and atmospheric in Scotland which is only a 20 minute drive away. 

This impressive 2 bedroom abode offers a double room with a king size bed and a twin room with zip and link beds. The entire cottage is furnished to a very high standard with 2 very generous living spaces downstairs both equipped with log burners.

The Liddel Bothy, A Shepherd's Hut on steroids which sleeps 2 and 1 well behaved dog, is a 5* plus Luxury Glamping Pod which stands in the grounds of the Liddel Haven. This property which 9.5 x 3.5 meters can be booked on its own or together with the Liddel Haven. The luxury bathroom boasts a four person Infrared Sauna, a deep cast iron Victorian bath and a generous walk in shower. Sumptuous furnishings, bespoke hand made double bed, traditional log burner adds romance and tranquility that compliments the central heating. Open plan dining / living and bespoke handmade kitchen add a touch of quality to this compact space. 

Floor to ceiling windows allow stunning views across the Liddel Valley looking toward Kielder Forest. Step out onto the decking to enjoy the magnificent Dark Skies as you enjoy the warmth and comfort of a luxurious  wood fired hot tub while enjoying a complimentary bottle of Prosecco.

All the above properties require a non- refundable deposit of £100 at the time of booking. The remaining balance to be paid 8 weeks prior to arrival. Two days before arrival the owner will take a damage/housekeeping deposit of £200 which will be refunded after inspection of property after departure.
