The Oak Room Restaurant at Otterburn Tower is a step back in time. The 16th Century oak paneling and the inglenook fireplace give an ambiance of a bygone age. The windows are stained glass and show the Coats of Arms of past owners. It is the food that is the really stunning feature of this restaurant. Local produce is used whenever possible. often the beef, lamb and game is sourced from the family farm at Longwitton. Recently the restaurant was awarded Two 'AA' Rosettes, an award which the Chefs are justifiably very proud. Morning Coffee and Afternoon Tea are served every day and an a la carte menu is served every evening. Lunch is also available. In the summer the terraced lawns are beautiful for Afternoon Tea or a drink before dinner, in the winter the log fires make a stay at the Otterburn Tower cosy and memorable.
By Road The Otterburn Tower is situated on the A696, which is the main Newcastle to Edinburgh road. Otterburn is just thirty minutes out of Newcastle (25 miles). Excellent motorways and trunk roads link the region with the rest of Britain.
