You may see a red squirrel, deer, fox, badger, kingfisher, dipper or other wildlife in the splendid Moorland surroundings of Bellingham. Other sites to see in Bellingham are the 7thC healing well of St Cuthbert, 12thC church of St Cuthbert and the Hareshaw Linn, a 30 foot high waterfall and nature trail in the National Park. Bellingham has its own heritage centre full of local history.

The Lyndale Guest House has been tastefully furnished throughout and home cooking is a speciality of your hosts Joy and Ken Gaskin. Breakfast is a 4-course meal of your choice offered in our sun lounge with its beautiful views of the surrounding countryside - maybe you will see the walkers making their way down the fell side. On the Pennine Way path and the Rievers Cycle route.
The rooms all have central heating, vanity units, colour TV, hairdryers, tea and coffee facilities, dressing gowns and toiletries.
The twin room and 1st double room are en-suite on the ground floor. The family unit with private jacuzzi bath is in the dormer, which is reached by our unusual spiral staircase.
Afternoon tea and biscuits are served on the terrace under the gazebo, next to the water fountain.
Breakfast is a menu of your choice including a vegetarian selection. Daily newspapers are provided in the comfortable sitting room which leads through to the sun lounge dining room, with its wonderful panoramic views.
The ancient Healing Well of St. Cuthbert is just over our garden wall. Free swim and sauna, we arrange this with the Riverdale Hotel in Bellingham.
From A69 ie the Newcastle/ Hexham/ Carlisle Road
From east or west, leave the A69, turn northwards onto the A6079 to Chollerford. Then follow the B6320 to Bellingham. Lyndale is through the main square 20 yds down to the right. Or from the A68 follow signposts to Bellingham, from North or South A68.
From Hexham - 17 miles by bus or taxi.
Upon arrival in Bellingham via bus walk past the co-op and through the lane, keep walking directly ahead 200M. Lyndale is a large white dorma bungalow on your right.
We may pick you up by prior arrangement from Hexham Bus or Railway Station, cost to be arranged.
